Ferghana Valley – the pearl of Uzbekistan
In the Ferghana Valley you can find small sleepy towns with many hidden treasures. Ferghana, the “city of angels” is the ideal place to get away from the hectic everyday stress. The nearby Margilan is well known for its silk production. The 70 meter long façade of the Palace of Kokand is richly decorated with colorfully shining ornaments.
The Pearl of Uzbekistan is the richest, biggest and most densely populated oasis of Uzbekistan, the 300 km wide and 150 km long plain in the high mountains region of Central Asia belongs to the three republicsUzbekistan, Tadjikistan and Kirgistan. Connected to the rest of Uzbekistan only by the 9km narrow corridor “ Gate of Chodshand” this is where you can find unspoiled nature in the mountain region of Shokhimardon. Due to clear fresh air and the mild climate fruits like pomegranate, apples, mulberries and other fruits and vegetables grow there.
